...and electric!
EDF have connected us! So we now have both water and electricity. We also have the first devis for the building work. Our initial reaction was 'ouch!' - particularly when we added in the TVA on the pool (at 19.6%!). I think we need to get another couple of quotes - and I'm certain we can get the pool done more cheaply.
We have another builder visiting to quote while we are in France and a list of local artisans (courtesy of www.pagesjaunes.fr) to take with us - so this should give us a better idea.
Little bro and sister-in-law (belle-soeur) are not visiting after all. Apparently it was too short notice to get any time off - which is a shame.
It was my last day in work today so I'm now winding down and getting into the holiday mood - but that won't last long as I have a lot of packing to do tomorrow!
The kids are getting so excited now - they are desperate to see the new house - and we can't wait to get back over there.
